Why buy direct from the author?
You can buy my books in plenty of places, and I’m glad whenever someone reads one. But if you have the choice, buying here helps the most. This page explains why, and what to expect when you order.
Where does my money go?
When you buy a book from a large retailer, the retailer keeps a share of the sale. When you buy from this site, that share stays with the author instead.
That money goes back into the work: editing, cover design, publishing, and the time it takes to write the next book.
What does it mean for you?
Selling direct means I set the prices, so paperbacks here are offered below their list price. The Fear of Winter, for example, is $9.99 here against a list price of $12.99.
You’ll also find bundles here, such as The Fear Of trilogy in one order.
Is it safe to pay here?
Yes. Checkout takes credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Amazon Pay. Each payment is handled by the payment provider you choose.
What will I receive?
The books sold on this site are paperbacks, posted to the address you give at checkout.
What if I prefer ebooks or audiobooks?
That’s fine too. The books are also on Amazon, Bookshop and Apple Books, and you can listen on Audible, Chirp and Spotify from the audiobooks page.
